is a Vancouver-born vocalist and jazz pianist specializing in jazz, blues andworld music. She has appeared in clubs and Jazz Festivals all across Canada and in several ofthe United States. She has also performed with such jazz luminaries as: Tommy Banks, Don Thompson, Kenny Wheeler, Skywalk, and Hugh Fraser, to name a few.

 Kristen Strom has been a mainstay on the Bay Area musicscene for nearly two decades. Aside from leading her own bands, she
has performed with many well-known artists, including Manhattan Transfer, Roberta Flack, Johnny Mathis, Jimmy Heath, Kevin Mahogany, Michel LeGrand, the San Jose Symphony, the Temptations, Natalie Cole, The Four Tops and more. She does extensive studio session work and is also a saxophone instructor at Santa Clara University and on the faculty of the Stanford Jazz Workshop.
Her new album, “Intention” (Open Path Music), reveals an artist whose musical world is predicated upon the primacy of beautifully rendered melodies.
