World-travelled trombonist Jeff Agopsowicz is bringing the world to the Valley through the language of jazz. His newly formed group, the Jeff Agopsowicz Quintet, is a powerhouse collection of some of the finest jazz musicians he's had the honour to work with over his career. Together, they're launching a bold new musical project with the release of a freshly recorded CD featuring 10 original jazz compositions by Agopsowicz himself.

The evening performance at 40 Knots Winery promises an exhilarating mix of brand new originals and imaginative arrangements of classic jazz standards, all designed to showcase the dynamic voices of the band's top-tier talent; Jeff Agopsowicz, Trombone & Band Leader, Rachel Cooper Clarinet & Saxophone, Nick Peck Piano, Steve Wallace Bass , James McRae Drums and special guest Dave Lymburner on Trumpet,

A graduate of Mohawk College, the Banff Centre, and the Canadian Armed Forces School of Music, Agopsowicz brings deep experience from stages around the globe including performances with the Naden Band, RCAF Band Winnipeg, and cruise orchestras aboard Cunard, Celebrity, and Princess Cruise Lines. His résumé sparkles with collaborations with icons like Hugh Fraser, Michael Bublé, and David Foster.

Backed by band members with equally impressive credentials and musical pedigrees, the Quintet is poised to be a major new voice in Canadian jazz.
