International Jazz Star Ben Rosenblum Brings a World of Music to the Stage
Prepare for an evening where jazz knows no borders.

The Georgia Straight Jazz Society proudly presents internationally touring, award-winning
New York City pianist, accordionist, and composer Ben Rosenblum and his exceptional
trio for an intimate concert that promises to be as adventurous as it is unforgettable. Every
performance is uniquely shaped by the audience, the venue, and the moment, making no
two concerts ever the same.

Blending the rich traditions of jazz with musical influences from South America, Eastern
Europe, Ireland, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and beyond, Rosenblum creates
performances that are both deeply rooted and refreshingly original. Whether interpreting
beloved jazz standards, timeless popular songs, or his own acclaimed compositions, every
melody unfolds as a story—connecting audiences on emotional, intellectual, and spiritual
levels through the art of improvisation.

One of the most versatile musicians on today’s international jazz scene, Rosenblum has
performed in more than 25 countries and across more than 20 musical genres. His
remarkable career has included touring with Grammy Award-winning vocalist Rickie Lee
Jones, Grammy-winning jazz singer Catherine Russell, and JUNO Award-winning
contemporary Indian artist Kiran Ahluwalia. Along the way, he has collaborated with
celebrated bassist Curtis Lundy, performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra,
and appeared as a featured piano soloist at Carnegie Hall’s Stern-Perelman Auditorium.
As a bandleader, Rosenblum has earned international acclaim for his distinctive melodic
voice and fearless musical curiosity. His debut recording Instead received a four-star
review from DownBeat Magazine, and each subsequent release has garnered praise from
many of the world’s leading jazz publications, including DownBeat, JazzTimes, Jazziz, All
About Jazz, NYC Jazz Record, and JazzLife Japan. His performances have graced
prestigious venues and festivals including Ravinia, the Library of Congress, Kuumbwa Jazz
Center, Bird’s Eye in Basel, AngraJazz in Portugal, and concert halls throughout Japan,
Europe, Canada, and the United States.

What makes a Ben Rosenblum Trio performance truly special is its spontaneity. Drawing
from an astonishing breadth of musical traditions, the trio crafts each concert in real time,
allowing improvisation, interaction, and storytelling to guide the evening. The result is a
performance that is intimate, inventive, and impossible to duplicate.

For jazz lovers and adventurous listeners alike, this is a rare opportunity to experience one
of today’s most imaginative international artists—an evening where every note has a
destination, every melody tells a story, and every concert becomes a once-in-a-lifetime
musical journey.
